To keep your synthetic hair extensions looking their best for as long as possible, it's important to follow these care instructions. With the right care routine, your MyPony extensions will stay soft, shiny, and beautiful wear after wear.

Gently Detangle

Before washing, gently brush through your extensions using a wide-tooth comb or a soft-bristle brush. Start from the ends and work your way up to avoid pulling or stretching the fibres.

Shampoo

Fill a basin with cool to lukewarm water and add a small amount of gentle, sulfate-free shampoo. Submerge the extensions and gently swish them through the water. Avoid rubbing or twisting the hair, as this can cause tangling.

Condition

Apply a lightweight, silicone-free conditioner from mid-length to the ends. Let it sit for 2–3 minutes to restore softness and manageability. Avoid applying conditioner to the roots or any clip/band attachments.

Final Rinse

Rinse the extensions thoroughly with cool water until all product is removed. A cool rinse helps seal the hair cuticle and adds a smooth, natural-looking shine.

Drying

Lay the extensions flat on a clean, dry towel and gently pat to remove excess water. Do not wring or twist. Allow them to air dry completely before storing or wearing.

Never sleep in wet extensions

Shape & Air-Dry

Once partially dry, use your fingers or a wide-tooth comb to gently reshape the style. For curly or wavy textures, scrunch lightly and let the natural pattern reform as it dries. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
